Chaos and Uncertainty - How do we deal with them?

Hi Fellow Traveler,

There is a Chinese curse,

"May you be born in interesting times."

It certainly seems that we have hit the jackpot. Things are not dull, by any stretch of the imagination. I remember being in Astrology class when I was 18 years old. It was 1961 and I had been studying astrology for a couple of years, but when I had reached that age I began to take it seriously and studied with an excellent astrologer.

We were sitting in class trying to speculate what the Age of Aquarius was going to be like. We were looking at the ideal of Aquarius, the part that wants everything to be fair and equal. Everyone was ignoring the disruptive aspect, the part that says I don’t care what happens to people. We had all been raised in the Age of Pisces where people took care of other people. Families stayed close and everyone knew their neighbors. The isolation that some people experience in the Aquarian Age was unable to be imagined at that time.

As we speculated, all that we could foresee were developments. Nuclear medicine would find help for people. Cancer would no longer be a death sentence; some people would survive it. Technology was going to rule. People would suffer more from emotional illness than physical. Uranus rules Aquarius and Uranus also rules the internet, but the internet wasn’t even a dream in the early sixties. When we learned about computers, they took up an entire room and spit their data out of cards with holes in them.

Aquarius promises to rip down everything to establish -

Harmony and understanding

No more falsehoods or derisions

In the Tarot deck there is a card called The Tower. It shows a castle tower being struck by lightning. The tower bricks are falling, people are falling from the windows. The interpretation is; everything will fall apart, but what comes after is harmonious. That’s about where we are at in the world now.

There seems to be a lot of disruption and disharmony. Fear is definitely present in the hearts of many. No matter which side of the political fence you are on, its clear that this time things are very different, chaotic even. Many of you are finding yourself very aware of this energy.

On Dec 21, 2012 a huge energetic change occurred. I know many of you felt that nothing happened, but what did actually happen took place on the inner and not the outer. If you look back on your life from that point in time, note the changes. Now you are more sensitive to the energetic energy of the Earth. You feel the energy of anger, fear and hope which surrounds us. Between television and social media it's difficult not to know what is going on. There is no more time to bury your heard in the sand.

What can we do?

The answer is, we can do a lot. Each of you will be attracted to issues that call to you. Answer the call. Find out who your representatives are and let them hear your voice. Call, send postcards. Forget internet petitions, they are the least effective way. If you are concerned about your fellow man, see where you can help. Sometimes just a smile and a kind word will lift the vibration. We are all in this together.

As the great Parliamentarian Edmond Burke once said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Find what you can do and try to do something every day. Don’t forget spiritual energy is powerful, so don’t neglect doing spiritual things as well as physical things.
